Website terms and conditions
Before you contract Bread and Buddha to produce a winning web design for your web site, please read our terms and conditions carefully. From the moment you ask us to proceed with your web design, it is regarded that you have read and understood the following:
Quotations for Web Design
The prices quoted by Bread and Buddha are for those features explicitly stated in the quote. If you agree to the quotation and later change the criteria for your project, this may incur additional charges.
The Bread and Buddha Design Process
During initial consultation with Bread and Buddha, you will state your requirements and we will provide a quotation based on these requirements. Once you have agreed to the quoted price, we will begin working on a concept for your web design.
We will provide a concept for your web site. You must view this concept and confirm that it is right for your web site before any further development will take place. Once you have accepted the concept, we will begin implementing our web design. Any changes to your requirements at any stage of the web design implementation process may incur additional charges (though minor changes such as colour schemes can often be altered without any additional cost).
Web Design Contracts
With Bread and Buddha web designs, you are not tied in to any contract. You can cancel your website at any time. If you cancel your website, it will be removed from the Internet. But you will still own the domain name for the duration of the registration period for which you have paid.
Domain Names
When you purchase a website from Bread and Buddha, the domain name you choose is yours to keep for the period of your domain name registration. Depending on the type of domain you have registered, you will need to renew it every 1 or 2 years (.com domains need to be renewed annually, whereas .co.uk domains need to be renewed every 2 years).
If you don’t renew your domain name, it will no longer be registered and somebody else may register it for their business.
Web Design Copyright
Prior to completion of your final payment, all Bread and Buddha designs are the intellectual copyright of Bread and Buddha. When you complete your payment, we hand over the copyright to you.
If you provide your own images, designs, or copy for your website, you are responsible for ownership of the copyright. You cannot use images, designs or copy to which you do not own the copyright.
Copy produced for your website through Bread and Buddha is the intellectual copyright of our chosen copywriter. When payment is complete, ownership of the copyright for your copy is handed over to you.
SEO
Our web designs include a basic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) package that consists of 6 hours professional SEO development on top of the general SEO built into the sites code. This SEO is only designed to help your web site’s rankings at the time of launch. Bread and Buddha cannot be responsible for changes to your web site ranking after your web site has gone ‘live’. However, we do provide on-going SEO services to which you can subscribe on a monthly basis. If you use this service, we will work to ensure good rankings for your web site throughout the time of your subscription. We also offer an annual subscription at lower rates.
Due to the changing nature of Internet Search Engines, we cannot guarantee specific rankings.
Payment for your Web Design
When you contract Bread and Buddha, the London Web Design studio, to produce your web site, you will be provided with a quotation. Before we can proceed with your design, we require 10% of the overall fee to be paid up front. This is to cover the cost of initial design and conceptual work.
Once your web design is completed and is ‘live’, we will send you an invoice for the remaining 90%. Payment is due within 10 working days of the invoice date. If you do not pay, in full, within 10 days, we will remove your web site from the server and send you a final reminder. Putting your web site back on the server will incur an additional charge of 10% and you will be charged 8% interest on the outstanding amount until payment has been received. Should you fail to pay after receiving the final reminder, this will result in legal proceedings.
Refunds
If you are unhappy with your site, you can claim a refund within 7 days of the site going ‘live’. Full refunds are only applicable in the unlikely event that your Bread and Buddha web design has failed to meet any of the criteria in your design brief.
If your web site fails in any way or has been tampered with, we will fix your problem for free. We will only issue refunds if we cannot resolve your web site problems.
Refunds are only available within 7 days of the launch date of your website.
Online Trading and Accessibility Legislation
Bread and Buddha provide eye-catching web designs that appeal to your customers and meet your own requirements. We are not responsible for ensuring your website meets online trading and accessibility legislation.
